Richmond Media is a multimedia production company specializing in interactive solutions for business, using cutting edge technologies to market your company. We create marketing software, multimedia packages, production and creation of DVDs and interactive CD ROMs. Our experience gives us the ability to customize websites and other types of media to work together, creating a powerful business package.
We are an American company, and only use American contractors and vendors.
Our parent company, Clockworks Media, was formed in 2002, and has pioneered Interactive CD development since it’s inception. Douglas Dye and Nick Caffacus founded Richmond Media in 2004, for the purpose of creating a separate entity to concentrate specifically on web development. As the company grew in size and scope, more specialites were added, such as search engine optimization, touch screen technology, interactive web based applications, online presentations, broadband video and more.
We combined all services under the Richmond Media banner in 2008. It’s working out pretty well so far.
Nick Caffacus, co-owner, has used technology and computers since their introduction in the early 80s. He is a professional musician and was also a top sales performer and General Manager in the piano and digital music industry representing Yamaha and Steinway & Sons.
Nick takes care of corporate operations, sales, service, communications and directs the staff and contractors for Richmond Media and Clockworks Media, Inc.
Nick resides in Williamsburg, VA with his wife, Cathy. Nick is also very proud of his 2 great kids: a son serving in the U. S. Navy Nuclear Engineering School and a daughter, who is a freshman at William & Mary College in Williamsburg, VA.
Douglas Dye, co-owner, is a graphic artist skilled in graphics, content management, video, vector and and web-related software. After his early web design work was featured in The Daily Press, he spent two years developing web sites for local businesses and then founded Clockworks Media, Inc.
Doug has been Richmond Media’s driving force in learning new skills to offer small businesses. He developed the CMS Lite system implementation, runs the email marketing campaign and does extensive research into small business website optimization. Doug also produced Up All Night on HR Music TV, a local webcast featuring original music.
Larry Kinzler of LK Healthcare Consulting LLC is joining our team to help develop the small and medium sized medical group client base. Larry brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in promoting medical practices and targeting the audience to increase the practice’s patient base and support patient compliance and retention.
Richmond Media can develop new websites, enhance and improve existing practice websites to maximize search engine optimization (SEO), create and manage social media, and provide ongoing feedback regarding the success of the practice’s online campaign. Medical practices have found this a low-overhead marketing strategy that has a significant and fast return on the investment.
Cathy Caffacus, Executive Director, has over 28 years of experience in marketing and communications, with a background in website management. In her 13-year career as Vice President of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, Cathy worked extensively with businesses of all sizes, helping them to gain exposure and increase their bottom lines.
At Richmond Media Cathy assists with sales, client services, production, and office management. She also works with the team to coordinate and assist with project management.
Cathy resides in Williamsburg, VA with her husband Nick.
April Warren of Eagle Associates has served as a part time sales consultant for 10 years marketing Richmond Media’s website services and touch screen information portal systems.
April’s extensive background in consulting, sales, marketing, management, finance and auditing in healthcare (hospitals/healthcare systems and medical practices), telecommunications and a variety of other industries to include manufacturing, retail, entertainment, government, food service, heavy industry, transportation, wholesale distribution industries and more, has been of great value in promoting Richmond Media’s services both locally and nationally.
